Abraham Lincoln This quote means if you do good things you feel good because you know it helped in someway and if it was for someone you know they were happy about it. When you do bad you feel bad because you stay with that guilt and feeling that it can cause trouble one way or another. But you can always turn the bad into good by being honest and respectful. 

"Goodness is the only investment that never fails" Henry David Thoreau What this quote means is nothing bad ever comes if you're doing good. Because doing bad has many bad consequences and there is consequences for doing good but they aren't bad. If you do good you'll never fail because you just get better and accomplish things but if you do bad at one point you're going to get caught and fail. Doing good gives you a better and easy life so you won't feel guilty. 

"They're only truly great who are truly good." George Chapman  What this quote means is they are only truly great if you are great also. Good people will do good things for others that are good,because they deserve it. But if you are bad good people won't do good things for you or get things in return.
